Did Satan come from God or the Bible?
Could it be possible that there is no God?
Could it be possible that there is no Satan"
The concept of God in religion can be traced back to the people who claim to have encountered God but the concept of Satan can only be traced to a period when the people of God were mingled with the people of myth. Peoples who fabricated a dualistic two-god philosophy and influenced a disenfranchised group of Hebrew people. The Hebrew peopel adopted the mythological idea and it migrated silently into the Hebrew faith, into the Pharisaic Judaism of the first century and into the Christianity of today.
How many of us truly discover where our beleifs came from and how the came to exist?
Most decide what they beleive by hearing it from parents, pastors, and propganda designed to convince those unwilling to search, search, search.
A plattitude becomes the truth for most people, particularly religious people. Hearing a religious plattitude repeatedly in life and history proves to cement the false beleif inot the mind and spirit of those who embrace it.Perhaps it would be better to defend what the Scriptures teach than to defend what the Pope, pastors, or pontificating, self proclaimed, parroting patriarchs teach. Much of which has evolved out of confusion, misunderstanding, convenience and desire to control whoever will blindly trust them and listen with ears closed.
Is it time to "reinvent" religion and remove major false doctrines like the doctrine of Satan? Especially when such a doctrine smacks of proclaiming that there are two Gods. Yes if Satan exists in a belief system then that beleif system is dualistic. Anything that we ascribe supernatural power to, be it a wooden stick, a cloud, a tree, a bronze statue, or an ancient Persian myth, is indeed a God.
